In response to the challenges faced by young people in the labor market, but also with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship among young people, the Institute for Development and Innovation and Junior Achievements organized a working meeting on the topic of defining the form of a youth company on December 16, within the BY LEAP project.
A youth company is not a new legal form but uses the existing legal form of a lump-sum entrepreneur, which allows existing laws not to be changed and no exemption from paying taxes. Reimbursement of lump-sum monthly obligations would be made from the funds of one of the existing budget users, for a maximum of one year and up to the amount of income of the entrepreneurial lump-sum business up to 1,200,000 dinars, all in order to minimize possible abuses of the youth company.
The proposal for an economic policy measure was developed in accordance with the assessment of the position of young people in the labor market, the strategic determinations of the Government of the Republic of Serbia in terms of economic development, the challenges faced by young people on the labor market, as well as the work experience and expertise of the organizations that prepared this document.
The participants of the working meeting spoke about the proposal of the form of a youth company, as well as about the position of young people in the labor market. Also, the participants significantly contributed to the discussion and recognition of key challenges faced by young people in the labor market.
The BY LEAP project is supported by the European Union.
