HDHL Food4Health is a four-year project supported by the European Commission through the Horizon Europe program with a budget of €2.4 million. The project has connected 11 partners from 9 countries to address the interrelated challenges of diet-related Non-Communicable Diseases and climate change, and to contribute to the European Commission’s Mission goals on Climate Change and Cancer.
The main objective of HDHL F4H is to align common research and innovation priorities among different funding mechanisms by liaising with other Horizon Europe (HE) Partnerships, identifying research and policy needs, and aligning all with the needs identified by the European Commission.
HDHL F4H drives systemic change by ensuring that research priorities are shaped by societal needs, fostering long-term policy impact, and advancing sustainability in food systems and public health.
The Institute for Development and Innovation supports tasks related to exploring and inventorying feasible research and innovation funding mechanisms, linking and stimulating collaboration among diverse Early Career Networks, providing the science-to-policy translation, and fostering citizen engagement in science-based policy processes.
