In December 2018, the director of the Institute for Development and Innovation, Nenad Jevtovic, held the two-day training for the researchers of the Budget Office of the National Assembly of Armenia. The main goal of the visit was to share his experience in working with the members of the parliament in Serbia, as well as in Scotland that was originally used as an example for the development of the Budget Office of the National Assembly in Serbia.
The training lasted for two days during which, the director of the Institute for Development and Innovation worked with his colleagues from Armenia in preparing and designing analyses that are connected to public finance, and preparing the members of the parliament and complementary Parliament committees.
The training was supported by the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) and the German agency for international cooperation (GIZ). The Budget Office of the National Assembly of Armenia was assembled in 2016, to help MPs in analyzing the important budget document and in controlling executive authority. At the moment WFD and GIZ are supporting the further development of their professional capacities to help them work efficiently and properly.
