For the third time, the Institute for Development and Innovation has successfully completed the implementation of the project “Retraining in Graphic Designers POKRENI SE!”.
A training program in graphic design and entrepreneurship was organized as part of the project. 757 young people from the Republic of Serbia applied for the training program, of which 60 young people were chosen to attend.
In the past six months, the training program was organized so that the participants attended 16 workshops in graphic design and 8 in entrepreneurship. Through 16 graphic design workshops, the participants gained knowledge for work in the Adobe Illustrator program, i.e. to use basic tools in this program such as: Pen Tool, Type Tool, Shape Builder Tool, Mesh Tool, Gradient Tool, but also gained knowledge about graphic design platforms, how to create a profile and start a career as a freelancer. During the entrepreneurship workshops, the participants learned how to test and validate an idea, got acquainted with: tools for better planning and prioritization of activities, establishing and registering a company, challenges and obstacles, state incentives for establishing a startup company, income models, as well as other topics.
As part of the project, an Employment Fair was organized and held on November 24 at KC Grad in Belgrade, with the aim of connecting the participants of the Training Program with potential employers in the field of graphic design.
Through the project, 60 young people acquired new knowledge and improved their position on the labor market, while 20 young people got a job or were self-employed.
