The Institute for Development and Innovation organized the presentation of the results of the research Espresso index for 2020, on July 7, 2021, in the social enterprise Kafe 16.
The results were presented by Nenad Jevtović, researcher and director of the Institute for Development and Innovation.
The espresso index is an approximate indicator of purchasing power in municipalities and cities in the Republic of Serbia. The research analyzes the potential difference between regions, districts, cities, and municipalities.
The results showed that the municipality with the largest espresso purchasing power is Kostolac, and with the lowest Raška.
One of the conclusions of the research is that internal migrations in Serbia do not take place primarily from places with less purchasing power to those with more.
Researchers aspire to conduct research on an annual basis according to the developed methodology and for the indicator to become a measure that shows the changes that occur over the years.
