The Institute for Development and Innovation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports have signed an agreement on the implementation of a project that is directed towards achieving the goals of the National Youth Strategy.
The goal of the cooperation is to stimulate various forms of employment, self-employment, and youth entrepreneurship. From June 1st, 2022, the Institute for Development and Innovation will implement the project “Prequalification in graphic designers POKRENI SE! 3“. The aim of the project is to contribute to solving the problem of youth unemployment, as well as to encourage young people to employment and self-employment.
Through its work on this project, the Institute for Development and Innovation will reach young people who are at a disadvantage in the labor market.
Special focus will be on young people who do not live in the largest cities in the Republic of Serbia. According to previous research conducted by the Institute for Development and Innovation, young people living in places where there are no higher education institutions face greater challenges in the labor market; and their chances of doing high-skilled and well-paid jobs are significantly reduced. All this might result in the emigration of young people to larger cities in Serbia or abroad. One of the indirect consequences is the problem of depopulation.
