The Institute for Development and Innovation has successfully completed the third edition of the “Pokreni se! – Retraining for Graphic Designers” project. As part of the project, a training programme in graphic design and entrepreneurship was delivered. A total of 757 young people from across Serbia applied, and 60 participants were selected to take part in the programme.
Over the course of six months, participants attended 16 graphic design workshops and 8 entrepreneurship workshops.
Through the graphic design training, they gained practical skills in Adobe Illustrator, including the use of key tools such as the Pen Tool, Type Tool, Shape Builder Tool, Mesh Tool, and Gradient Tool. They also learned about graphic design platforms, how to create professional profiles, and how to start a freelance career. The entrepreneurship workshops covered topics such as idea testing and validation, business planning and prioritization tools, business registration procedures, common entrepreneurial challenges, government support schemes for youth entrepreneurship, revenue models, and other essential aspects of starting and running a business.
As part of the project, a Job Fair was organized on 24 November at KC Grad in Belgrade, providing participants with an opportunity to connect with potential employers in the graphic design sector.
Through the project, 60 young people acquired new knowledge and improved their employability, while 20 participants secured employment or became self-employed.
