The Institute for Development and Innovation has started a new project Retraining program for QA testers “PreobuQA!” within the framework of the BOLD program which is supported by the U.S. Embassy, where the partner organization is the Association for the Affirmation of Culture – ASK. The goal of the project is to improve the position of young people aged 18 to 30 in the labor market from all parts of the Republic of Serbia through a program and retraining of 50 participants for the profession of QA tester within the IT industry, which includes software testing and quality control.
The problem that has been identified is the unfavourable position of young people on the labor market, where 144 thousand neither work nor study and are in the NEET position. These young people represent untapped potential on the labor market of the Republic of Serbia.
The expected results of the project are 50 trained young people who have improved their position and created a greater opportunity to find a well-paid job, of which 10 will be self-employed and 15 will be employed by an employer by the end of the project.
The team of the Institute for Development and Innovation through the project “PreobuQA!” supports young people and improving their position to find a job in a high-paying industry or start their own business through a retraining program to acquire skills in demand on the labor market.
